Comparison of the clinical differences between COVID-19, SARS, influenza, and the common cold: A systematic literature review

BACKGROUND: This review focuses on the frequency of symptoms in COVID-19 comparison to SARS, influenza and common cold. OBJECTIVES: To evaluate compare knowledge about clinical features, differences between patients with COVID-19, influenza, The research can help ear, nose throat specialists other health practitioners manage during pandemic. MATERIAL AND METHODS: biomedical databases used study included PubMed MEDLINE. Statistical analysis using Z-score test assessed which were more characteristic than viral diseases. RESULTS: Among individuals most frequently reported cough (70%), fever (45%), muscular pain (29%), headache (21%), whereas sore (12%), rhinorrhea (4%) observed at lower rates. Fever was identified as frequent (74%), appearing a higher rate those cases (68%) or cold (40%) (p < 0.05). In diseases, rarely SARS (12% 18%, respectively) cold, 93% 80% Headache, rhinorrhea, pain, (91%, 91%, 94%, 84%, (89%, 81%, (21%, 4%, 29%, 12%, (45%, 55%, CONCLUSION: results show that greater number general should lead diagnosis rather COVID-19.
